Treehouse 1 opened on Christmas Eve 2024 and now Treehouse 2 is open for booking with a first book date of April 20th 2025. 4 treehouses have been built with units #2-4 being completed on the inside and will all be open by summer this year. The plan is to build up to 25 treehouses total in the next few years.
Treehouses 1-2 are the same layout and both sleep 8. $650 a night on weekdays and $750 a night weekends. Prices are less in winter.

- Hike Starved Rock State Park's 2630 acres of trails, canyons, bluffs and waterfalls
- Short drive to Matthiessen and Buffalo Rock State Parks plus others.
- Kayak or Canoe or maybe Hydrobike the property's on-site creek boat launch right out to the Illinois River.
- Rent a boat for a day of water sports from the marina across the river.
- Book a 2 hour, scenic paddlewheel cruise right up the road on the Sainte Genevieve Riverboat.
- 2 indoor water parks in the area if it’s too cold outside.
- Float down the river at River Bum Rafting 15 mins away
Cook in/dine out
- Cook a meal with the family in your treehouse's full kitchen.
- Cook out on the grill on the deck.
- Roast marshmallows around the bonfire.
- Head into historic downtown Ottawa, IL (9 mins) for a dinner and a movie.
- Or the charming downtown Utica (10 mins) for dinner, some wine and cupcakes.
- Or just order in from a local restaurant, stay in your treehouse and forget about life down below for a while.

Mike is a fabulous host and the treehouse was quite possibly the coziest dwelling I’ve encountered on Airbnb to date. We celebrated a bday with a girls getaway, and despite intentions of going out, the treehouse was too amazing to leave and once our cars were parked, they were never restarted until our exit. Not only does the treehouse have EVERYTHING you need, but you can access the Starved Rock trails from the treehouse door AND if you want/need to go to town, it is only 5-10 min away. Mike is also super helpful with local recommendations! Do yourself a favor and book now before it’s too late, you will not regret it!"
