Yep it's true, there's going to be a treehouse resort just 90 minutes from Chicago and adjacent to Starved Rock State Park.
Construction of the first five has begun. The first treehouse will open up for booking soon. So get on the list!

We are starting with 5 luxury treehouses along the same sandstone bluffs that meander through Starved Rock State Park right across the creek.
Air conditioning, full bathrooms, screened-in porches, fireplaces inside and on the ground and expansive decks in the trees to take in some nature.
Explore the property, hike the many trails at 3 state parks, Starved Rock, Matthiessen and Buffalo Rock. Kayak the creek right out to the Illinois River. Stargaze. Roast marshmallows. Head into downtown Ottawa for a dinner and a movie. Or downtown Utica for dinner and cupcakes. Rent a boat on the Illinois River to fish or water ski. Spend a few hours at one of the 2 indoor water parks in the area if it’s too cold outside.
Or just stay in your treehouse and forget about life down below for awhile.
