About the Treehouses
How many treehouses are there?
- Currently, 2 treehouses are fully completed and available for immediate booking. An additional 2 are nearly finished and can be reserved now, with stays beginning February 1, 2026. All 4 treehouses share the same floor plan.
Do the treehouses have bathrooms?
- Yes. Each treehouse includes one full bathroom equipped with a shower.
How many people can each treehouse sleep?
- Each treehouse comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests with two bedrooms, and a loft bedroom with 2 king beds, 1 queen and a full pullout couch (Koala) designed for families, couples, or friend groups.
Are the treehouses actually built in the trees?
- Yes – each structure is elevated among mature trees and positioned near glacier-carved sandstone bluffs for a true nature-immersive experience. Structures are not attached to trees due to their size and for the health of the trees but you’ll hardly notice.
Do the treehouses have heating and air-conditioning?
- Yes – the interiors are fully climate‑controlled year-round with modern HVAC systems.
Do you have hot tubs?
- Not yet – but they are planned for future expansion.
Kids, Pets & Groups
Are kids allowed?
- Yes – families love our treehouses and the spacious layout. Pack and play available.
Are pets allowed?
- Not currently – We are animal lovers but have vowed to keep the treehouses safe, quiet and clean for all of our guests.
Is this a good place for a celebration?
- Absolutely – birthdays, anniversaries, girls’ weekends, family trips, and couples’ escapes are all popular.
Location & Nature
How close are you to Starved Rock State Park?
- We are directly adjacent. Guests can walk right from their treehouse steps to more than 13 miles of trails just over the bridge on the edge of our property.
How far are you from Chicago?
- About 90 minutes from most Chicagoland suburbs.
Will we see wildlife?
- Yes – eagles, hawks, deer, foxes, owls, and many birds are commonly seen from the decks and windows.
Amenities
Is there a full kitchen?
- Yes – each treehouse includes a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, cookware, dishes, coffee maker, fresh beans, grinder, and essentials.
Do you provide linens and towels?
- Yes – high‑quality linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided.
Is there Wi‑Fi?
- Yes – fast and reliable Wi‑Fi throughout the treehouse.
Do you have fire pits?
- Yes – each treehouse has a private fire pit. Unlimited firewood packages are available.
Do you have kayaks or hydrobikes to rent?
- Rentals are available along the on-site dock which leads to the Illinois River. More watercraft coming soon.
Booking & Policies
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
- You may cancel up to 30 days before your stay for a 97% refund. Stripe retains a 3% credit card processing fee, which is not refundable.
What if I cancel within 30 days?
- Reservations canceled inside 30 days are non‑refundable.
Is there a minimum stay?
- Most dates require a 2‑night minimum, though some weekdays allow for 1‑night openings.
What time is check‑in and check‑out?
- Check‑in: 3:00 PM
Check‑out: 11:00 AM
Early check‑in and late check‑out may be available depending on the schedule and can be purchased while booking and after the fact via email or call. Do you require a security deposit?
- No, but a credit card hold will be initiated the day of check-in and removed after stay.
Parking & Access
Is there parking on the property?
- Yes – private parking is available directly at each treehouse.
Are the treehouses accessible for guests with mobility challenges?
- All units require stair access. Working on building treehouses accessible for all.

Are the treehouses comfortable in winter?
- Yes – they stay warm and cozy even during Midwest snowstorms. Very well insulated, heated and cooled.

- Yes – they are engineered with steel, reinforced trusses, and anchored foundations.
